"Website" — The website accessible at windinghou.club and all pages within it.
2.Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website or submitting a timepiece for service, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement.
- You have read and understood these terms.
- You have the authority to submit the watch for service (i.e., you are the owner or have the owner's written permission).
3.Service Description
Winding House offers three principal services:
Watch Health Assessment — MYR 320
Diagnostic inspection and written report. Completed within 2–3 working days.
Automatic Winding Module Service — MYR 1,350
Rotor, reversing wheel, and bearing service for automatic watches. 5–8 working days.
Cosmetic Detail Restoration — MYR 980
Surface refinishing, crystal and bezel work, without opening the movement. 5–7 working days.
Services are available to clients in Malaysia. We do not offer postal repair services at this time. All work is performed at our Kuala Lumpur workshop.
4.Bookings & Enquiries
Submitting a contact form or sending an email constitutes an enquiry, not a confirmed booking. A service engagement is formalised when:
- We issue a written quotation or service confirmation to you; and
- The watch is physically received at our workshop.
We reserve the right to decline any service request at our discretion, including where a watch's condition poses technical or safety concerns.
5.Service Delivery
Turnaround times quoted are estimates in working days and may vary depending on parts availability, workshop volume, or complexity of findings. We will notify you if a timeline needs to be revised.
Scope changes: If additional work is identified during the service process, we will contact you for approval before proceeding. No additional work will be carried out without your prior consent.
Collection: You will be notified by phone or email when your watch is ready for collection. Watches not collected within 60 days of notification may incur a storage fee, and after 180 days, Winding House reserves the right to treat the item as abandoned in accordance with applicable Malaysian law.
Watch Health Assessment: Completing an assessment does not create an obligation to proceed with repairs. The assessment fee is payable regardless of whether further work is commissioned.
6.Payment Terms
All prices are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Payment is due in full upon collection of the watch. We accept cash, online transfers, and major debit/credit cards. We do not store card data.
For services where parts must be ordered in advance, a partial deposit may be requested. This will be communicated to you before work begins.
Refunds: If a service cannot be completed due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., unavailable parts for a discontinued movement), any prepaid amount will be refunded in full. Once a service has been completed to specification, fees are non-refundable.
7.Client Property & Liability
We take reasonable care of every watch entrusted to us. All items are stored securely while in our possession.
You are responsible for disclosing all known conditions of the watch, including prior repairs, modifications, or damage, before the service begins. Failure to disclose relevant information may affect the outcome of the service.
Our liability for loss or accidental damage while a watch is in our care is limited to the current market value of the timepiece as independently assessed, or MYR 5,000 — whichever is lower — unless a higher value is agreed in writing before the service commences.
We recommend that clients arrange their own insurance for watches of significant value.
Winding House is not liable for pre-existing faults that become apparent during the service, or for deterioration caused by the watch's condition prior to intake.
8.Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, images, layout, and design — is the property of Winding House or its licensors and is protected under Malaysian intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, republish, or distribute any part of this website without prior written permission. Limited personal, non-commercial use is permitted (e.g., sharing a page link).
9.Website Use
You agree not to use this website in any way that:
- Is unlawful under Malaysian law or applicable international law.
- Attempts to gain unauthorised access to our systems or servers.
- Transmits spam, malware, or disruptive code.
- Scrapes or harvests data from this website without our written consent.
10.Disclaimers
This website and its content are provided on an "as is" basis. While we make every effort to keep information accurate, we make no representations about the completeness, accuracy, or suitability of any content.
We do not guarantee specific outcomes from our services. Watch repair involves technical uncertainty, and we will always communicate honestly about what we can and cannot achieve for a given timepiece.
References to brand names, watch manufacturers, or technical standards are for descriptive purposes only. Winding House is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an authorised service centre of any watch manufacturer.
11.Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, Winding House shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from use of our services or website.
- Loss of data, business, or revenue connected to service delays or outcomes.
- Events outside our reasonable control (force majeure), including natural events, utility failures, or civil disruption.
Our maximum aggregate liability to you in connection with a service shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for that specific service.
12.Termination
You may withdraw from a service at any time before work has begun, with no charge. Once diagnostic or repair work has commenced, fees for completed portions of the service are due. We may decline to continue a service if we reasonably determine it cannot be completed to an acceptable standard, and will communicate this to you promptly.
13.Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. If a dispute arises in connection with our services or this agreement, we encourage you to contact us first at [email protected] so that we may seek an informal resolution within 30 days.
If an informal resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be submitted to the courts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 (Malaysia).
14.General Provisions
Entire Agreement: These terms, together with any written service quotation, constitute the entire agreement between you and Winding House in relation to our services.
Severability: If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full effect.
Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision at any time does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any future right to enforce it.
Assignment: You may not assign your rights or obligations under this agreement without our written consent. We may assign our rights in connection with a business transfer, provided client interests are not adversely affected.
15.Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated on our website. Continued use of our website or services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Services already in progress at the time of an update are governed by the terms in effect at the time the service was agreed.
